One of the most fun projects I’ve worked on was for Ski Dubai’s website and app revamping, with an amazing team of UI/UX designers. Our brief for Global Snow was summarised down to following statement… “Develop a signature brand experience that embodies Global Snow’s excitement, optimise the booking process, and boost customer retention.”

Role
My role was to create all 3D assets intended for integration within both the website and app interfaces.
Initially, the design concept revolved around a captivating vision: a floating island reminiscent of Ski Dubai, complete with its distinctive sections like Ski Slopes, Cinema, and Penguins. The plan entailed featuring this island prominently on the main page, allowing visitors to interact with it and navigate to various sections via immersive 3D camera zooms.
However, in later stages, collaborative discussions with developers prompted a reevaluation. To optimize site performance and enhance user experience, it was decided to streamline the use of 3D assets and interactions, ensuring swift navigation and seamless access to essential information for website visitors.
Result
Matching their ambitious goals of opening more snow parks, the team was tasked to build a dual language scalable digital experience that would work across multiple formats — web, kiosk, display, apps and more.
